Pronunciation & Accent: Comprehensive Program

When you are speaking with others in English at work or in your personal life, are you sometimes asked to repeat yourself, even though your English is fluent? Is your speech as clear and easy to understand as you (or others) would like?

We offer an efficient and highly-effective program to help you speak English with a more native-sounding, standard American accent. This will make your communication smoother and help you avoid misunderstandings that can cost time and money. You’ll achieve “breakthroughs” in your communication skills in a relatively short period of time.

You Will Learn:

• Details of your individual speech pattern and how it varies from standard US patterns
• To avoid the most problematic pronunciation mistakes, based on your assessment
• To enhance enunciation, voice projection, and intonation
• How to effectively project your voice without speaking “loudly”
• To achieve speech that is overall clearer and easier to understand
• Methods for additional self study and continuous improvement

What the Program Includes

• A fully customized curriculum based on your individual assessment results
• Minimum of 22 hours of group instruction and one one-on-one session
• The option of additional coaching sessions by telephone in between sessions
• Before and after assessment results based on the Compton testing method
• A flexible schedule (based on a mutual agreement between the members of the group and their instructor)
• Sessions held at Xavier University or at your office location
