Project Management Certificate Program

Many companies and organizations are discovering the effectiveness of using a project management approach to implement strategic initiatives, provide unique products and services to customers, and involve the right resources at the right time to significantly reduce cost and cycle time.

Project management is not new, just rediscovered. It is a disciplined approach designed to produce unique results on time and within budget while getting employees involved with a real, measurable goal.

The Xavier Consulting Group offers a comprehensive approach that incorporates an orientation to the body of knowledge, specific skill set training, and a full certification program.

The material is based upon the Project Management Institute’s (PMI) body of knowledge, the Construction Industry Institute’s (CII) research, and experiences of project management practitioners. All courses are PMI certified and qualify for Xavier’s continuing education credits.

Participants will increase their knowledge and skills in project management. Better yet, they will learn to think like project managers. Project managers are responsible for significant corporate resources, sometimes for millions of dollars. A project manager needs to use these resources wisely to provide value to the project’s customers. This type of thinking is crucial to project management.

Certification consists of attending the full six days of training plus submitting
assignments unique to each of the three modules. The assignments together constitute a complete project. The participants learn concepts in class, practice these concepts in workshops using a project case study, then reinforce the concepts with the assignments.

Courses include:

  • Module I: Understanding the Project Process
  • Module II: Project Planning and Scheduling
  • Module III: Project Execution and Control

It is highly recommended that the modules be taken in order.
